Job Description The Senior Construction Manager provides the onsite leadership, coordination, and direction for construction management activities for multiple or complex projects. Duties include ensuring the project(s) are on budget, schedule, and the design fits the requirements for the contracts. Will supervise construction management team, which may consist of Construction Manager(s), Assistant Construction Manager(s), Field/Project Engineer(s), field administrative staff and other project staff as assigned. The Senior Construction Manager will serve on projects in Water and Wastewater Treatment and Conveyance projects. Essential Duties & Responsibilities The Senior Construction Manager is responsible for providing the following services or for supervising the Construction Management team members who perform these services:
Lead delivery of construction management services and manage staff of construction management professionals including assistant construction managers, resident engineers, office engineers, and inspectors Implement schedule, cost, quality, communication, decision-making, use tools and processes for multiple projects Support program and project controls activities through schedule control, cost control, change management, risk management and reporting tools Build a cooperative partnership between client, contractors and all stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of project issues and the overall success of the project Provide effective risk management and mitigation practices through proper risk identification, assessment, tracking, and communication Understanding and development of start-up and commissioning plans and identify associated resources as necessary Responsible for the enforcement of contract documents including plans and specifications Performs other duties as required to ensure project success Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Construction Engineering, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field of study is required 10 years of experience on major construction projects performing construction management Construction Management experience working on water and/or wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, storage facilities, and conveyance pipelines Construction Management experience on projects valued at $15M and greater Demonstrate proficiency in the use of computers to prepare reports using Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Knowledge of construction scheduling including experience with P6 Must have the ability to work proactively in a high-paced environment and willingness to adjust and respond effectively to change Certified Construction Manager (CCM) is required DBIA - Design Build Associate, or Professional Engineering (PE) license registered in California is preferred
Salary Range:
$150K -- $200K
Minimum Qualification
Construction & Real EstateEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
