00008596 The position involves assisting Crystalens customers in understanding the clinical aspects of working with the Crystalens.
Specific Job Duties Responsible for optimizing post surgical outcomes through education and training of physicians, technicians, and surgical staff Responsible for clinical in-service and training of B L customers prior to and following delivery of the Crystalens Assisting surgeons and staff with IOL power verification.
Ensuring that clinical findings from post-op visits are understood by surgeons and staff.
Qualifications:
Specific requirements are as follows:
IOL power calculations:
The position requires a working knowledge of basic and advanced IOL power calculations.
Surgical:
The position requires knowledge of patient prep, incision and paracentesis construction, cataract extraction, IOL insertion, and stabilization.
Post-op:
The position requires in depth knowledge of correct procedures to follow when evaluating visual acuity, measuring post-op keratometric readings, refraction, and correlating visual acuity findings with refractive findings.
Additional Skills/Requirements:
Excellent organizational skills.
Ability to establish priorities and to meet goals.
Highly motivated and results driven.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programs.
Must be willing to travel 60-70% and including some weekends.
