Retail - Shipping & Receiving Specialist - REI (Rancho Cucamonga, CA)

THE JOB:
The role of the SHIPPING AND RECEIVING SPECIALIST focuses on executing store shipping/receiving/reverse logistics functions alone or as assigned by store manager, assistant manager, supervisor or technical shipping/receiving specialist.
Specific responsibilities include:
Receives vendor and internal shipments according to REI policy and procedure Prices, organizes, evaluates or ships customer and product quality returns according to stated REI policies and procedures.
Uses effective 2-way communication between cross divisional partners and REI customers and staff THE REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to lift 35lbs periodically for up to two hours.
Ability to safely operate power material handling equipment as necessary Previous experience in a warehouse, retail or shipping/receiving environment (preferred) Detail-orientation in performing accurate transactions Adherence to REI policies and procedures Self motivated and multi-tasks with minimal supervision Proactively meets both internal and external customer needs.
Effective work methods and consistently meets commitments Uses sound judgment and decision-making skills.
Effective communication skills-- clear, concise and positive.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
